Planting Tips: Plant in fertile soil in early spring as soon as soil can be worked or in fall. Dig a deep, wide hole and plant the crowns approximately 1"-2" deep allowing 4' between each plant in compost and topsoil. Harvest the stalks the 2nd year of growth. The leaves are poisonous if ingested. Simply chop the leaves and throw away. In the winter, the plant will die down to the ground.
