8+ HOLLYHOCK HALO RED ALCEA ROSEA SPECIALLY BRED (RED WITH YELLOW CENTERS)
RABBIT RESISTANT / HARDY - EASY PERENNIAL FLOWER SEEDS
FIRST YEAR BLOOM for this highly performing bred rare Hollyhock. Large single blooms up to 6 FOOT HIGH and 1 - 2 FOOT spread on light green foliage. These flowers have a great texture of satin crepe with two tones of color. This selection from the new Halo series features large, single, bright red flowers with a yellow halo in the center.
Best at the back of a sunny border, with something in front to hide their bare lower stems. Or looks great poking up through different heights of plants, or a mass of them on their own. Halo hollyhocks will re-seed themselves for many years. Rust is often a problem, particularly in humid summer regions with overhead watering. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. With 16 years of breeding this hollyhock survives frigid zones and high heat! Once established drought tolerant.
